The "No Child Left Behind Act" unwisely ties the hands of our teachers through federal mandates.
Ensure students graduate with a locally controlled, quality education that will allow them to compete in today's global economy.
Demand academic accountability by eliminating the cumbersome, bureaucratic red tape that takes teachers away from doing their jobs.
Fight for greater access to and use of state school trust lands.

"If the rule of law is to be preserved, we must require those who enter our country illegally to return to their countries of origin and not grant them amnesty."

No amnesty for illegal immigrants.
Give our border patrol agents the tools they need to do their jobs.
Update border surveillance technology to include security cameras, unmanned aerial vehicles, and fencing.
Hold employers who knowingly hire illegal workers accountable.

PUTTING HEALTHCARE DECISIONS IN OUR OWN HANDS

"We don't want socialized medicine. We must transform our healthcare system to make it affordable and accessible to working Americans."

Promote a private healthcare system that allows people to make their own decisions regarding their healthcare.
The role of government in healthcare is to improve the quality of healthcare through sensible solutions which do not include a socialized healthcare system.
Facilitate information sharing between healthcare providers to improve the quality of services and find ways to reduce costs.
Reform the current Medicare system to focus on those who truly cannot afford healthcare and encourage the private sector to provide the best quality care for those who cannot care for themselves.

BRINGING FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

"It is time to get Federal spending under control."

The Federal government should not be the provider of local services.
Limit spending and restore fiscal responsibility.
Review federal programs and reform those worth keeping while eliminating those that no longer serve a valid purpose.
Establish a sustainable budget with real budget controls and limits on spending.
Stimulate the economy by providing incentives for businesses to expand and create well-paying jobs for our communities.
Stop borrowing money from nations that do not share our best interests.

SECURITY AT HOME

We should not live in fear nor allow it to dictate our choices.

Prevent newly developing threats to our nation by being prepared.
Make the Federal government efficient, cost-effective, and timely. Each agency should be able to process information at the rate of the business sector and make informed, intelligent decisions that influence our security.
Equip the military with the means and manpower to make the transition in fighting a new kind of war. The military must have the technology to determine who the enemy is, where he is, what he will do next, and how he can be defeated.
Come together as a people with the determination that we will preserve peace and safety.
We must not give up.
